I wanted to make it double layered because I thought that would be a fun challenge. I also wanted to make a crumb coat so that the frosting would not have crumbs in it. My dad showed me how and all I did was mix a little bit of water in with e mix to make it better.

I wanted to make it double layered because I thought that would be a fun challenge. I also wanted to make a crumb coat so that the frosting would not have crumbs in it. My dad showed me how and all I did was mix a little bit of water in with some icing sugar.

We used store-bought frosting but it was too thick for the piping bag, so my Dad helped me by squeezing the icing out of the bag while I spun the cake on a table-top lazy-suzan to give the cake it's texture.

To top it off, I melted chocolate chips into liquid chocolate, and poured it in the shape of a heart onto a pan with wax paper. We made two hearts, and put them in the freezer. When they hardened, I placed them side by side on the top of the cake in the middle and added a strawberry.
