Try, Try Again - Painting a Lighthouse

A couple years ago I painted a light house in Prince Edward Island with just a canvas, a couple paint brushes and acrylic paint. To celebrate my parents 10th anniversary they took a trip to Prince Edward Island. I found a photo of one of the light houses that they walked by and I wanted to paint it. I started painting, but about 30 minuets in I wanted to take a break, so I did. After a day or so I wanted to continue, so after more painting I noticed a couple mistakes in my art. Even though I wasn't finished I started to cry because I didn't like those mistakes I made. After talking it out with my parents I put the unfinished painting in my closet. A few weeks later my family and I went to the DIA. My parents were showing me a couple of artists that also made mistakes but never got the chance to fix them. When we got home I got my canvas from out of the closet and started painting again...This is what I ended up with:
